British emigrants and overseas property buyers - Why aren't they blamed?

1 out of 10 Brits are now emigrating to live overseas and loads more are buying overseas properties. Why aren't they blamed by the people of destination countries whilst the Japanese were criticised badly when they did it in 80's? HongKong Chinese were also blamed when many of them emigrated to Canada because they prompted the house price increase.
